Acustat® - Drug Free Pain Relief

Pain remains one of the most mystifying of all incapacitating human conditions suffered today. Conventional relief methods either cover up the pain with drugs or attempt to manage it through expensive and often tedious physical therapies.

Clearly, there is a need for an alternative solution.

All life processes involve electricity, and biological processes can be affected by electrical treatment. The cells of the human body are basically tiny electrolytic batteries, each with a potential current flow of approximately 4 picoamps or 4 trillionths of an ampere.

These microcurrents flow through the body in orderly manner. However, injury disrupts the bio-electrical functions of the cells: the electrical activity of damaged cells is quite different from that of healthy ones.

Injured cells have greater electrical resistance, so the normal energy flow is lowered, impeding the healing process and maintaining the presence of pain. Reducing the electrical resistance to the injured cell, would allow the body's own electrical energy access and improve the health of the cell. Inflammation will decrease and the healing process increase and the natural electrical balance of the traumatised cells will be restored.

Acustat® administers extremely low electrical current to the area of injury. This energy can be stored and used by the injured cells to lower their electrical resistance and provide additional energy to aid the body's natural healing process and relief of pain.

The Science

Acustat® works on the principle that when living tissues are traumatised, the positive ions' activity in the cells increase.

Negative charges migrate from Acustat® towards the injured area When Acustat® is applied over the injured area, as illustrated, the negative ions from the Acustat® pad will flow toward the positively charged injured area.

Negative charges neutralise the positive field When these negative ions meet the positive ions they start to neutralise the positive ions' activity and help allow the resumption of the normal bioprocesses. this process helps relieve the pain associated with injury.
